Overview
Hongxin Bitumen Waterproof Tape is a self-adhesive sealing tape made of modified bitumen (asphalt) compound with an aluminum foil facing. Peel off the release liner and press the tape onto a clean surface: the bitumen adhesive bonds on contact to form an instant, watertight seal — no flame, no solvent and no special equipment.
The tape remains flexible across a wide temperature range (-20°C to 110°C), conforming to irregular surfaces and maintaining its seal under thermal expansion, structural movement and long-term weathering.

Q: What is bitumen waterproof tape?
A: It is a self-adhesive sealing tape made of modified bitumen compound with an aluminum foil facing. It bonds on contact and needs no flame, no solvent and no special tools.
Q: What is the difference between bitumen tape and butyl tape?
A: Bitumen tape provides higher heat resistance, a rigid UV-shielding aluminum face and strong adhesion to bituminous membranes; butyl tape provides greater low-temperature flexibility and bonds to a wider range of substrates. We can advise the right tape for your application.
Q: Why does the tape have an aluminum foil facing?
A: The aluminum foil protects the bitumen adhesive from UV radiation and mechanical wear — the main causes of sealant failure outdoors — so the seal lasts longer in exposed applications.
Q: Which surfaces can it be applied to?
A: Clean, dry surfaces including concrete, metal, wood and most bituminous membranes (SBS, APP and self-adhesive systems).
