Overview
SBS base treatment agent is a single-component, water-based bituminous primer modified with SBS. It is applied to concrete, cement mortar and other substrates before the installation of SBS/APP modified bitumen membranes or self-adhesive bitumen membranes, to prepare the surface and create a strong bond between the substrate and the membrane.

Why a primer layer:
- Concrete and cement surfaces are porous and dusty — a primer penetrates and seals the surface and binds loose dust into a sound film
- The membrane then bonds to the primer layer instead of to loose particles, preventing blistering, slippage and peeling
- Primer improves adhesion on vertical surfaces and around details where membrane bonding is most critical
- It extends the reliable service life of the whole waterproofing system
